Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the sights of Antequera. The town’s famed limestone cliffs are popular with hikers, spelunkers, and rock climbers. Other tourists will enjoy the restaurants, specialty shops, and bullfighting attractions.
Archidona is a charming town with a gorgeous octagonal plaza. Guests of Finca la Bodega will appreciate that this town is only ten minutes away. Rich historical details found within many area buildings provides tourists with amazing scenery. Two popular hiking trails in Archidona provide nature lovers with a chance to see some of Spain’s fauna and wildlife.
Córdoba is a favorite destination with many tourists. There are three key areas worth visiting. The historic Jewish quarter, the city centre, and the Mezquita offer a variety of activities from museum tours to shopping excursions.
Numerous historical sites, museums, plazas, and boutiques create a wide variety of things to experience in Granada. Dubbed the “Place of Dreams” by guitarist Andrés Segovia, it is easy to come to Granada and want to stay. Granada’s origins date back to the Moors in the 8th century. Within Granada, tourists will want to explore the Albaicín, a 13th century fortress; the Alhambra, a Nasrid dynasty fortress; and Generalife, a country estate dating back to the Nasrid dynasty.
Iznajar offers a good mix of outdoor and sight seeing activities. Iznajar is surrounded by excellent water sources, including the Lake of Andalusia. On a hot summer’s day, the lake is perfect for both anglers and water sports enthusiasts. The large Iznajar Castle and a number of ancient churches also provide tourist activities.
Plan to spend a couple days touring Sevilla. The city’s claim to fame lies with the impressive 18th century bullfighting ring, but there is so much more to do and see. El Arenal is the former Port of Sevilla that now houses some of the area’s finest bars and restaurants. A number of museums will please both children and adults.
